2018 Cortada Alta Vineyard Syrah

The long, cool growing season at Cortada Alta Vineyard produces a complex and subtle Syrah with a strong fruit backbone. Co-fermented with Viognier and made with 100% whole cluster, this wine nods to the winemaking of the northern Rhône. On the nose, olive, dried rose petal, black raspberry, licorice, and blueberry compote compliment a bouquet of Mediterranean spices. White pepper, currants, and fresh acidity combine with complex tannins on the palate toward a long, delicate, peppery finish. Drink now through 2030.
